Destination Redhill 16th & 17th June
To mark the highly anticipated launch of The Light in Redhill, the town has planned a two-day event called #DestinationRedhill on June 16th and 17th. This exciting occasion aims to showcase the exceptional businesses across Redhill alongside the introduction of this thrilling new leisure facility. The festivities will kick off with The Light opening its doors to the public at 3pm on June 16th, accompanied by activities provided by the surrounding businesses. As part of the #DestinationRedhill event, there will also be an exciting competition, offering participants the chance to win the ultimate day out in Redhill.
With a vibrant and dynamic atmosphere expected, this event is designed to attract both new and returning audiences to Redhill, giving them reasons to keep coming back for more. From indulging in the arts at the renowned Harlequin Theatre to embarking on a delightful shopping spree at the Belfry or even exploring new leisure activities at The Light, Redhill truly has something to offer everyone.
In a spirited show of support for the event, both The Belfry shopping centre and The Harlequin Theatre in Redhill have organised a series of captivating events. On the 17th of June, from 10am to 4pm, The Belfry will be hosting Autism All Stars, where attendees will have the delightful opportunity to meet various beloved characters brought to life. Adding to the excitement, at 4 pm on the same day, the talented performers from Inspire Dance Academy will grace The Belfry with a mesmerising performance suitable for all ages. Not to be outdone, The Harlequin Theatre will be providing live music performances at Warwick Quadrant throughout the entire weekend. With this dynamic line-up of events, Redhill promises an unforgettable experience filled with entertainment.
The Light is set to make a grand entrance with its impressive array of activities and leisure facilities that are sure to captivate individuals of all interests. Boasting a six-screen cinema, a climbing wall, bowling lanes, shuffleboard, and even the unique experience of axe throwing, The Light leaves no room for boredom. Additionally, the facility features a restaurant and bar with a versatile menu carefully curated to cater to the diverse tastes and preferences of all guests. It’s an exciting destination that promises endless possibilities for entertainment and enjoyment.
Local Musicians Wanted!
If you are a local musician, choir, band, duo or one-man-band and would like to get involved with #DestinationRedhill, The Harlequin Theatre need you! They will be running an outdoor stage at Warwick Quadrant on Saturday 17 June and are looking for local performers. If you are interested in performing please email paula@thechainagency.co.uk.
Extended opening hours and special offers
Three of Redhill market’s exciting street food vendors are extending their opening hours til 9pm on Friday 16th and Saturday 17th June as part of the #DestinationRedhill celebrations.
Khao’s Thai Food, Nieshe Caribbean Kitchen, Mazar City Afghani, Wael’s Falafel and Shaun’s Lekker Kitchen South African will all be serving their delicious street food til 9pm.
Subway Redhill, situated opposite Posadero Lounge on the High Street, are celebrating #DestinationRedhill by extending their opening hours til 9pm on Friday 16th and Saturday 17th June.
SH Hardware on the High Street are starting open util 7pm on the 16th and 17th and will be offering customers a 5% discount on their total bill over the two days.
The Junction pub in the centre of town (pictured below) is offering customers a free drink with every meal over £10 on the 16th and 17th June.
Movie Mug in the Belfry shopping centre is staying open till 8 at night on both days and offering a discount of 10% on all purchased made from 5pm – 8pm on the 16th and 17th.
Busy Beans Cafe in the High street is staying open til 9pm on both days.

The event aims to drive new and returning visitors into the town centre to enjoy everything that Redhill has to offer, whether that be shopping, eating, drinking, meeting, socialising, watching or relaxing.
Autism All Stars
Over the Friday and Saturday Autism All Stars are taking over The Belfry to raise funds for their charity. Come and say hello to a selection of characters on Friday 16th including Toto and Princess Peach, Stormtroopers, Relaxed Thor and Spiderman plus various Jedi!
You can also meet two Star Wars actors: Chris Bunn is one of the original Stormtroopers and Ross Sambridge has played Wookiees in the Solo film, Supreme Leader Snoke and been a body double for Hagrid in Harry Potter.
